Carnival Corp. (CCL 49.66) reported a higher second quarter profit that beat analysts' expectations, as growth in its European cruise business helped offset weakness in the Caribbean. However, fuel costs have increased significantly, and the Miami-based cruise ship operator lowered its full-year earnings outlook.
