Go to bed. I am going to the beach to watch all the good surfer surf since I can not handle the crowds. I need to "ball up."

Nah, if it isn't fun, why do it?

Sleep well and I will see you tomorrow. I am going to the beach. I will post charts of my longs and shorts when I get  back.

Anybody else getting a boatload of spam since the forum got smacked?  I suddenly have been receiving a torrent of investment related spam, shooting past google's normally reliable filter.  Happened the day after the forum hijack.

They need to string up that guy.

i been spending last couple days whenever i get down time to go thru my trades in detail and print out and mark up any charts of the ones that i am pissed at for making stupid trades(i do it every 6months now).....anyone who doesnt go thru their past trades is really, really missing a very important component in learnings how to many money in stocks....its amazing how much better perspective i have looking at a chart 6mo later after a trade to see where the chart is now and where i made the trade in the bigger picture of the chart vs. when i made the trade and the future 6months werent on the chart yet. ps- i finally got a round to reading Darvis's book and i was a fun, quick read.....i really like his Q&A at the end of the book where he essentially tells a guy that he doesnt gamble by trading around and the only real money to be made is when you give a stock time to move and dont fight the trend and he doesnt short stocks.(also, about how he made a killing on that Bruce co. when they got bought and shorts couldnt cover made me really think and confirm why its stupid risk mgmt to take concentrated shorts positions especially now because companies right now have all-time record cash on balance sheets and there will be plenty of mergers to come especially with valuations coming down(so i stick to large cap/liquid names for shorts.....ps--i am still waiting for my Oneil shorting stock books for amazon, can you believe it has a 2months backlog ? (maybe that is a contrarian indicator about the general public buying books on shorting

Two month backlog? Wow. It very well could be a contrarian indicator if they have not had that problem before.

Darvas book sure is a great, fun read. It is one of the EASIEST books to read on the subject. What makes it better is that making all this money was his "side" project. This is truely a Wall Street Classic. Excellent book. I am still in the middle of reading mine again.

Always reveiew your past trades, EVERY YEAR. I don't anymore but can you blame me. The only ones I review is any stock that takes me for s 15% or greater hit. You guys should have less than 5 of these a year but I get more since I trade such high volume.

Breaker, I have not noticed ANY pickup in my inbox. The same amount.

But I have noticed a lot of funny things with some other stuff. My Yahoo account seems to be getting mail late. And when friends leave comments or emails for me in myspace I DONT even get the notification anymore. Not sure if that has anything to do with anything but I find that odd.

But no to the spam.

LOL. Next time I have to send my taxes in to my accountant in Vegas I am going to go there on a trip and hand him all the reports via hand. I would love to see his face with those trades. BUT you have to remember that is nothing compared to an active daytrader on the indexes. My buddy, Ingo's accountant must want to kill him (ingo is a master daytrader, he trades over 50 times a day).

some random technology thoughts, i just changed over to using Mozilla Firefox for my browser becasue IE was so slow and i couldnt figure out why (as i have 1.25gb DRAM in my laptop) and i use a fiber hi-speed connection...... but firefox is so fast and confirms it wasnt my computer but crappy internet explorer (i love the way you can tab thru all the open windows in Firefox rather than having to open IE multiple times, much less draining on memory resources.....

ps- i spent some time going thru eIBD since my renewal is coming up and i think ill stick with the paper edition......eIBD is nice for reference but i dont see myself being able to sort thru that whole paper online(the print is small) -  i only use a widescreen laptop so i dont have a 21" monitor.....i like being able to tear out and markup IBD
