josh
the water was calm but suddenly strong surges of about 10 ft slammed my head the breakers were very close to each other i was basicly trapped only about 100 ft off the shore and i was fighting for my survival then i decided that the only way back to shore was to ride the surf so i swam on my back to see it coming and when it was just about to hit me i turned over to ride the wave to shore the only problem was that it wasnt a straight line the waves were vertical so it slammed me into rocks then i got trapped by the rocks
when i finaly got out i was gushing blood from all over people thought i get attacked by a shark
have you ever had such an experience

OMG! This sounds darn near terrifying. This has never happened to me. Very scary it sounds like. I have landed on rocks many time after not making the drop on some big waves and then gotten jacked up by the coral and rocks. But I have never been in the situation you were in. Very dangerous.

Glad you are OK. Make sure you know the ocean and the area before you go out again.

Ok, everyone, I have to go to the gym and start my running schedule again.

The marathon is next month so best to start really getting into gear. I am already ready though. But I spent the last week doing nothing but surfing.

Minstrel it was awesome to have you online during the day today! I look forward to many more conversations.

I will be back later on to answer questions, update my longs, shorts, and market commentary.

I am sorry I was not posting during the day today but remember I always do this when the market surprises me. When I see the market setup in a situation that I think should happen and I wake up and the market is doing the opposite I always step away from the quotes and go back to bed. I then wake up near the EOD and then reasses the situation. It looks like that was the right move as the markets have all done major reversals off of this mornings gap up. By doing this I avoided making any irrational covers of my shorts because of the unexpected gap up.

James DePorre is having a two and a half hour seminar for $89 in NYC on Aug 26. If you live in the NYC tri-state area, you should check it out and meet one of the greatest traders on the web.

ok who watched the finals of "so you think you can dance" last night. i started watching b'c my wife and those dancers are amazing.........anyways, i was watching informercial at like 3am this morning(i have a 1mo old baby so i sleep when she wants to sleep) and they had "4xMadeEasy" and another called "Russ Dalby Cashflow notes, etc" anyways, that stuff is such a scam - Foreign exchange trading is NOT easy especially with a blackbox system(i think its the same maker as Wizetrade) and for anyone getting suckered into real estate informercials, seminars,etc.....goto http://www.johntreed.com/Reedgururating.html and read his "guru ratings" show you they are all b.s. (he'll tell you the real skinny on those infomercials,etc......or you can ask me questions since i do real estate professionally and have personally bought/sold foreclosures, rental prop.,etc.......its not ever as easy as a cinfo ommercial/ad makes it...just like trading it takes work.....

Just don't 4xMady easy, what they didn't tell you is that huge leverage involved in Forex in order to make something because exchange rate moves in pips.  The guy who gave seminar is very good trader, but if you search his name, a lot of class actions

roflmao, Justin. You need to spend more time studying stocks and less time policing IP.

Any trading product that ends with the saying "made easy" should be put on the watchlist as something to view as entertainment only. Anything easy is too good to be true, in the world of speculating.

Remember, Nicolas Darvas, was a professional dancer. Also one of the best poker players Chris "Jesus" Ferguson is a ball room dancer.

As for those informercials. Everytime there is a freaking new product some lazy donkey on Maui comes up to me and is like "I saw this commercial and know you trade stocks...what do you think? should I do it; it seems easy." All I tell them is runaway! Run fast.

Thank God the St. Louis Cardinals (where I was born) are on ESPN. Another one of these ridiculous boring days after a day of major action. That has been the case since May.

Market sure is volatile in its boredom/excitement factor.
