There, of course, should be no questions about shorts until we fail this follow-through.

Josh, just see USG is on your short list, this one looks a turn around after all these law suit.  Warrent Buffet just bought 15% of the company, I believe last week.  Mary Wittman bought the company's bond.  She is really smart one.

Wow. Yeah I dont have much left. The chart is getting really green but I am not letting the last amount go until it closes over the 50 dma. It was my best short during the downtrend. It wasn't that big at all.

finally getting around to reading Oneil How to short books and i like it(not sure why all the Amazon reviews were negative ?) more insight in the 1st 30pages on shorting than anything i've seen........anyways, i like the line in bold print on Pg 25. "a very important and key concept in successfully timing short sales is that the optimal shorting point will, in the majority of cases, present itself FIVE TO SEVEN MONTHS AFTER THE ABSOLUTE PEAK IN THE STOCK"

so since most stuff topped in May we have a couple months til the real breaks happen since we are only in month #4 although some sectors like industrials,metals,railroads,etc..... seem to be farther along than others

I don't know Y.Y. 7/27 was the obvious trigger day. It even came up on my short scan. I have it written down in my journal. I dont go short during follow-throughs but I think you missed the obvious day when it cracked the moving averages on HUGE volume.

So I think you are 7-8% late (and on a short that is a LOT) and think you dont have the proper risk/reward for a safe short. However, as always, this is your trade and if you have a cut loss plan then that is fine. But for a swing short, you have missed the correct moment. The right moment.

Dr Joe, who's that ? ...........someone is recommending shorting LEV ? its so late ..maybe if Dr Joe;s target is 1-2points quick profit back to $10 but that chart is perfect example of a short that you could see gap up 1 day on you and get squeezed(already big short position)..

Let's see....LEV is only down 50% since the correct short point. STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!!! This Dr. Joe sucks. He needs to go back to being a doctor.

OK, so maybe he doesn't suck. But he sure is late to the party on this short. He really should pick up a copy of the ONeil shorting book.
