WEL nice tight base before this breakout off the 50 dma.

CKSW very pretty chart (weekly). Need to go sideways or downtrend for at least 5 days before I will go long.

FILE can not wait to see the base it makes. Hopefully it will be good. Pretty chart.

STEC starting to work on its base.

Hi Josh,

If you haven't already, I thought you may want to take a look at HRT. What do you think?

HRT is on my watchlist. I am waiting for it to setup and breakout of a base. As soon as it does that, I would love to go long this stock. Right now, enough time has not gone by to make up for all that selling on the downtrend.

Good eye.

my biggest weakness is working on my sell discipline when i have winners (selling at the right time and recognizing when to sell after moves---- most often i sell too early - i've read Oneil sell rules dozens of times but still working on it).........so on that note i was wondering did you sell any CXW(i dont own any jsut curious) on this move, and specifically on yesterday above avg volume reversal/tail yesterday ?

I would imagine Josh would say that there is nothing wrong with CXW,  it will try build another base.  The selling is in low vol.  Look at the base, it almost 2.5 years.  The recent base within that 2.5 base is 3.5 months, so it has long way to go up I would think.

I make normally 3 to 5 sells on the way up from my original position. Yes I have sold some CXW but I still am long a very big core position. 8/3 was the day of my first sell.

Huajian, your analysis on CXW is correct.

The measured move of cxw should be equal to the width of base.  May be by then, ression is so deep, they locked everyone up and govt has to resort cxw to sort the over flooded prison.

Hans, lbix, fiz broken, may be summer is over, people need chips now.  May be semi chips are going to outperformce due to Xmas.

Josh,
Does GES still look like a descent long to you? Not much change the last couple of days. Down a bit, in fact.

Yes, GES still looks very good. Just remember to cut some short if it falls and use the 50 dma as a last resort to cut all losses if it does not work out.

Quoted from phailin
Hey Josh, thanks for DJO, caught a double on the option spread.  I shorted some common against my long calls after buying back the sept 40's to leave it open to a further upside move.  How would you like it to act from here short term?

hey i wouldnt mind have a seperate Options topic board within Josh's section to talk about options strategies and what options guys like Phailin are playing........i am knowledgeable on all the options strategies but havent played them much and would like to improve epsecially in volatile mkts like this spreads can provide some decent controlled risk returns for a portion of my portfolio since the volatility is high in the options prices.......but I would like to have discussion more with people that are active with options to see what works for them,etc.....what do u think Josh, and PHailin would you want to ever comment on options stragies you've implemented(or anyone else that plays options(i am not interested in just plain call/put buying and selling or covered call writing but discussing spreads and options strategies,etc... ?

DIGE: Need to wait till market close before I decide to go long. But so far the breakout looks good. Base was a bit choppy but still this stock is very pretty.

Breaker,
congrats for your pick, SIM, a double digit is not so easy to find in a market like this.
Now is selling off, but It has made a great run, anyway.

ciao D.
