Hey Vince, My compter now freezes about every 5 minutes, or whenever I run a big program. It never used to do this... is there something I can do to get my computer back to normal? I tried doing a disk defragment, and getting rid of files and programs I don't need, but that didn't work. Over half of my hard drive is free space... I don't understand whats going on, but if there isn't anything I can do to fix, my pc is still under warranty, and I will have to send it back to them to get it fixed. Thanks,
Seth |

What brand is your computer and/or brand of your hard drive
Also there could be a bad blank on your ram, but rather check your harddrive first.
Your operating system could be all messed up too, wish I could had the computer in front of me so i can check your power rails make sure, your cpu is getting enough power. IS your system overclocked? If so , tell me how much and what type of chip you have and brand of ram and motherboard, so I can tell you the voltage you need to get everything running or just underclock it until its stable. THeres a program called memtest 86 which runs a hardcore test on your computer, if your system can run that program for like a hour or 2 than it can take anything and still be stable. |

With the help of an Acer technician, I uninstalled windows xp, and then installed it again, leaving my computer the way it was when I first bought it. I saved all my important files on a disk before, which was good, because I lost everything on my C drive, so I'm in the process of installing all of the programs that I used to have on my pc. I guess when I was trying to get rid of unnecessary programs a while back, I must have deleted a program that other programs and files on my computer needed to run, and that was why my pc was freezing all of the time. Anyway, it's back to normal now, yay!!!
