IRVING, TX, Mar 31, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) --
Sniffex, Inc. ("Sniffex") (OTC: SNFX) (
http://www.sniffex.com) announced today the successful testing of Sniffex, an explosives and weapons detection device, for use in correctional institutions. Sniffex was invited to conduct its first presentation and test to a group of 20 prison wardens recently with what the Company characterized as remarkable results. Sniffex, in a blind test where guards from the prison hid 6 bullets behind a wall, was able to locate the bullets each time. The Company further stated it has received letters of interest in using Sniffex and have been invited to return for more extensive testing.
"Our first round of testing went very well, and the guards who participated were very impressed with the results," stated Paul Johnson, President of Sniffex, Inc. "Sniffex is a fantastic tool in an environment where there is a constant and real threat to prison officials on a daily basis. Since Sniffex is sensitive enough to detect even one bullet, in many situations, we feel we can provide correctional facilities with an additional level of security and protection that is sorely needed."
The Company stated that their devices can be used to check packages coming into the prisons, freight, and, most importantly, the cells themselves. The Company further stated that it is actively pursuing the correctional institutions market and invited other facilities wishing to conduct tests to contact Sniffex at 972-868-9102 to make the necessary arrangements.
