This actually sounds like the old "Bait & Switch" that major stores used to do back in the day. I'm thinking that they are doing this in order to get a huge volume buy going and pull in more cash at this time. Then once the forward split is complete the company will probably do a 1:1000 or worst yet a 1:10000 reverse split on the shareholders sometime within the next 6 to 8 months. 1: They will cancel the forward split all together because the company has raised the neccessary cash to do this proposed merger and your share price will start to move north.

I have been a long time holder of this company even when they were PAVP. PLEASE dont buy in! Even the news has been truncated to hide what He has done! I never dis a company but I respect this board too much to even see anyone tracking CSJJ. There are too many items to talk about to even get started! The promises, the so-called "in negotiations" from a russian  refinery to an Indian biotech company. The stated Audited (really unadited) financials and the analysts (Payed for by CSJJ) reports of lofty targets! Any DD would kill any interest in this company and as for the FS ....Good Luck, because in my experience its going away like all the other promises! JMHO

I knew this was coming and fell really bad for the guys and gals that put money into this bogus company. The Board of Directors (what a joke) should all be brought up on charges for the business activities.

Coastal Holdings, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: CSJJ), today announced that its Board of Directors has approved a 1-for-2,500 reverse split of its common stock. The reverse stock split will be effective today.

The purpose of the reverse split is to increase the per share trading price of Coastal Holdings' common stock, thereby appealing to a broader range of investors. To the extent that the reverse split does succeed in attracting more investor interest in the stock, shareholders may also benefit from improved trading liquidity of the stock. According to CFO Yves C. Renaud, the reverse split is a necessary step in the restructuring of Coastal Holdings, including its plans to list the Company's common shares on the OTC Bulletin Board.

how can they claim that a reverse split imporves liquidity... im pretty sure it's practically in the definition that i decreases liquidity

This company is a money pit for investors. I can actually see another 1-1500 reverse split coming in about six months on this one. Hopefully not, but the so called Board of Directors still like to get paid.
