Hello, I am an amateur investor and still learning. I've been investing a long time, but I'm just now learning about some of the pump and dump schemes. A company caught my eye that had promising technology and financials. I long shot I admit, but I can wait. Anyway, I invested and started following the stock and reading its message board on Yahoo and it was a pretty good board with other company investors sharing news and views. Lately, for the last month or two, the board has been useless because of the posts of creatures that call themselves the Chucks, Flinks, and other assorted misfits. Their posts have nothing to do with the company or stock and for the most part are disgusting. Has anyone run into this before? Are they an organized effort to drive the stock price down? I've tried to ignore them, Yahoo allows you to ignore 100 users, but there are more than 100 of them. I don't think its possible this is just one or two people, they are an army. Does anyone have any thoughts about this? Thanks |
