How do people get away with this crap?

I think the best thing for lebed's stocks is to short them.

Baird: The reason Lebed can get away with all that crap is because he suckers investors into thinking that he picks stocks based on their balance sheets and potential to grow, however, he just profiles stocks that pay him to.  He was the youngest person ever to sued by the sec for fraud. He was either 15 or 16 at the time. He was famous for pumping and dumping.  In fact, I believe he made over $800,000 just pumping and dumping stocks.  I think he had to give half of it back or something. Anyway, he's not there to help investors, he's there to make money.
